Focused on grass roots motorsport events, car club events, and track days the 70 hectare facility will include a 3.2km circuit, pit garages, on-site garages, club rooms, cafe, and camping ground.
It will provide the Bay of Plenty and its surrounding regions – as well as wider New Zealand - with a world class and affordable facility for multiple activities.
Our vision
Our vision for Thunder Ridge is to create a space where both beginners and enthusiasts can experience motorsport or simply indulge their passion for cars and bikes, reminiscent of the former Bay Park experience in Mount Maunganui or Pukekohe Motorsport Park in Auckland.
Our philosophy is to foster an inclusive environment where people passionate about grassroots motorsport can come together, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
The goal is to establish a world-class facility in the Bay of Plenty that serves the local community while also supporting New Zealand’s events, automotive industries, and the broader motorsport community.
TECT Park offers the perfect location, already hosting motorsport activities, making it a welcoming site for this exciting new development.
